Lifesize Room Controller App

VERSION 2.3.0 – 5680

Enhancements:

Android Only:

  • Added the Wireless presentation option to the Lifesize Fusion Room Controller Application, allowing you to connect the Fusion display to your computer or mobile device in order to present content wirelessly. The Wireless presentation option can be used both while in a meeting or outside of a meeting.
    • The Controller screen can now display both Wireless and Wired presentation options.
    • Wireless presentation must be enabled in the Room Controller Application to show call options. 
    • When in a call, from the main call controls, click Present. When not in a call, from the main screen, click Present in the Navigation menu on the left.
    • A Wireless connection must be paired with Lifesize to start a presentation. Click OK to clear the screen. On your computer or mobile device, navigate to the web address provided on the Present screen and enter the code provided. Once paired, call options display on your computer or mobile device. Click Present and your computer or mobile device screen displays on the Fusion or room device.
    • When a wireless presentation is active, the Wired connection’s Start Presentation button displays gray.
    • When using a Wireless connection, when you are ready to stop presenting, click the green Presentation Active banner and click Confirm. If you prefer to continue presenting, click Cancel.
  • Added Sleep and Wake functionality to the Lifesize Fusion Room Controller Application. You can manually put your Fusion system into Sleep or Wake mode. Navigate to Settings > System Settings, then click Sleep or Wake. The option that displays is based on the current mode of your system. Your system will remain in the selected mode until you return to Settings > System Settings and select a different mode.

Enhancements:

  • Android Only: Added the ability to join a MS Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom meeting using Connect Go.
    Note: This feature is only available to users of Connect Plus Gateway.
    • Users must download the latest version of Lifesize Room Controller App from the Google Play Store to see the Join by Go feature.
    • To set Join by Go as the default tab when joining meetings, in the Lifesize Room Controller App at Settings >Advanced, toggle the setting “Set Join by Go as default in the Meet tab” to On.
      Note: When enabled, the toggle appears green and Join by Go is the default tab when joining a meeting.
  • The Lifesize Room Controller App has been updated to support Android version 15 on tablets.

Fixes:

  • The Disconnect Tablet link at Settings > Advanced has been improved and now disconnects a device even when the device is offline. The user will need to reconnect the tablet to use it with the Lifesize Room Controller App.

Enhancements:

  • Android Only: Added the ability to join a MS Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom meeting using the meeting ID found in the meeting invitation.
    Note: This feature is only available to users of Connect Plus Gateway.
    • Users must download the latest version of Lifesize Controller App from the Google Play Store to see the Join by ID feature.
    • To set Join by ID as the default tab when joining meetings, in the Lifesize Controller App at Settings >Advanced, toggle the setting “Set Join by ID as default in the Meet tab” to On.
