Set up with Icon 300 and Micpod
Follow these steps during initial setup of Icon 300 with Micpod.
NOTE: 3.4.0 software or higher is required.
- Open a browser and navigate to the IP address shown on your Icon.
- Select your language from the list and then click Next.
- Select your time zone.
- Set and confirm an administrator password. This allows administrator access to the system’s web interface.
- Pair your system. You can associate the Icon to an individual user or a conference room.
Individual user | Me allows Lifesize end users to associate the device to themselves.User allows Lifesize admins to associate the device to any user or existing room system in their Lifesize group. |
Conference room | Use this option if the device resides in a conference room and is intended for multiple users.Creates a separate Lifesize account for the Icon. Enter a name for the system that will appear in the directory. Optionally, enter an email address for calling the system. |
- Download the Lifesize Room Controller App for your tablet.
- Use the app to scan the QR code or enter the code to complete the pairing process.
Set up with Icon 300 and Phone HD
Follow these steps after setting up Icon 300 with Phone HD.
NOTE: 3.4.0 software or higher is required.
- Log in to the Admin Console.
- Click on Room Systems in the left menu.
- Select the room system you want to configure and click the name to open the Advanced Settings window.
- Click on Tablet in the top navigation of the Advanced Settings window.
- Download the Lifesize Room Controller app to your tablet from the App Store (Apple iPad) or Google Play Store (Android tablet).
- Using the Room Controller app, scan the QR code or enter the text code displayed in the Advanced Settings window to connect the tablet to the room system.
- Once connected, Tablet App will appear in the Controller column for the room system in the Admin Console.
To disconnect a tablet, click the name of the room system, click Tablet, then click the Disconnect button. You can also click Tablet App in the Controller column and click the Disconnect button.
