Security and passwords
- Open a browser and navigate to the IP address of your Icon.
NOTE: This can be found on your Phone HD by tapping Start > System. - Scroll down to the Security section and set the following:
Enable SSH Access | Enable the use of SSH for use with third-party control solutions via CLISH (Command Line Interface SHell.) Default setting is enabled. |
Maintenance Mode Access | Select whether to enable or disable Maintenance Mode when working with Lifesize Support. Recommended and default setting is disabled. |
Lower SSH Security | Enable the use of older SSH security algorithms to allow greater compatibility with third-party control solutions. Default setting is disabled. |
Set and confirm Admin password | Passwords should have a minimum of 8 characters with at least one number, at least one lowercase and one uppercase letter, and at least one special character. |
Set and confirm Phone HD PIN | Set a 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) for the Lifesize Phone HD used with this system. |
802.1x Authentication | Select to enable or disable 802.1x Authentication for port-based network access control. Default setting is disabled. When enabled, the following additional fields are available to system administrators to upload their Certificate, CA, and Key files and provide Key Password for their authentication server: – Certificate PEM File – CA PEM File – Key PEM File – Enter Key Password Here |
3. Click Save.
